		<description>Smashing web site.     I often visit Lurg moor and have tried several times to find the Roman fortlet.   The Roman wells you mention were , as far as I&#039;m aware, built around 1300 years after the Romans left Britain. They are in fact,  air ducts to provide ventilation to the underground pipe which used to bring water from the Gryffe to Greenock.  Send me a wee email ( if you can be bothered ) as I want to ask you something about Clydebank.
